Hi, I’m Karen,
I love photographing families and couples here on The Sunshine Coast. For well over a decade now! That’s me in 2013!
I find that my gorgeous wedding couples invite me back to photograph their newborn portraits and want even more family portraits as their family grows. I feel SO honoured and SO excited to create beautiful memories for each of my couples and families and there is no better compliment than when you book your next session!
I find that Mummas finally get to be in some of their family photos, Dads love the fun style family sessions and the children love having some play time with their parents. At the end of the day, everyone gets stunning, modern family portraits and a fun experience

What’s your secret to sunny, happy photos?
Most of the photos you see here are sunny mornings!
Mornings between 930-1030am!
From experience, the little ones are happiest in the morning!
Morning is warm bright sunshine creating bold colourful images!
(930am is by far the most popular for those bright sunny images you see here!)
We start in the shade of the lush green beach groves and move into full sun and sand on Noosa beach
Where are the most Popular Noosa Locations for family Portraits?
VIEW THE PHOTOS ON THIS PAGE TO SEE THE NOOSA LOCATION AND TIME
We usually keep it simple and choose one of these locations:
Noosa Main Beach & Noosa Groves (green spaces lining beach front)
OR
the Noosa River mouth (Noosa Spit) where the Noosa River meets the Ocean
You have plenty of shade, some green spaces and some Noosa Beach and/or River Photo backdrops to work with.
OR
if you have a location that is meaningful for you, we can meet there too!
Luckily in Noosa, there are beautiful Family Photo locations in every direction!
Why Sunshine Coast Beaches for your Family Portrait Locations?
Specialising in beach family portrait photography. Even if you’re not a super beachy family, the beach still offers amazing natural outdoor photography! There’s usually some lovely parkland adjoining our sandy beaches so you can get some beautiful park like photos often with some shade and a few steps away there’s gorgeous ocean views, amazing light reflected off the sand, along with parking and loo’s. Every beach on the Sunshine Coast is AMAZING (not even exaggerating!) And if you prefer to stay in the green space/park, just let me know!
What to wear for your family photos?
The easiest way is to take a look through the images here and see what appeals to you.
You know your family best!
I recommend Coordinate - but not matching exactly
CHOOSE FROM:
Shades or tints of one colour:
Multiple shades of blue
Whites and creams
Tans and browns
Pastels - Light pink, light blue, soft yellow, light peach, light grey or tan fits here too
Warm soft autumn colours - Browns/tan/beige, lemons /yellows, peach/oranges etc
Cool colours - all shades and tints of Blues & greens
Super Tip: Must feel comfortable!
For big groups: Kindly let your whole group know in advance :)
Preferably no big Logos because we want the attention on your face!
You can also bring a change of clothing if you want a second look :)
You can also get swimming/water play photos towards the end of the session :)
What to bring to your portrait session?
For extended families, jot down a list of all the important groups so we can make sure we don’t miss any important photos!
Water and snacks for the children are essential in QLD because it can be hot!
Towels and swimming costumes if you want to swim at the end
You can bring special/fun items if you like (but they’re not necessary)
What’s your CANCELLATION Policy?
$100 deposit required to secure your date for your portrait session, the remainder is Invoiced on the day of your portrait session, AFTER your session takes place.
The deposit is STRICTLY NON REFUNDABLE because we are holding a date on our calendar exclusively for you
If your session is cancelled due to WEATHER, you can reschedule for another available date if possible.
There are no additional cancellation fees.
